Sun & Star Legacy Award Dinner and Silent Auction

Ms. Irene Hirano Inouye, president of U.S.-Japan Council, will receive the Sun & Star Legacy Award for her lifelong contributions to U.S.-Japan relations on multiple levels and in many realms, especially through her leadership at the Japanese American National Museum and U.S.-Japan Council.

Dallas Kiyari Daiko will receive the Bridges-to-Friendship Award in recognition of its many years of sharing Japanese culture in North Texas.

The Honorary Host of the 2019 Sun & Star Legacy Award Dinner is Doug Parker, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of American Airlines Group and American Airlines, its principal subsidiary company. He also serves on the Advisory Council of the Japan-America Society of Dallas/Fort Worth.

The Award Dinner features a cocktail reception, silent auction, and an exclusive Patrons’ Reception for sponsors and dignitaries, followed by dinner and the award program.
