Champagne Blanc de Noirs Patrick Soutiran Brut
Ambonnay is a quaint village surrounded by enchanting soft hills and approximately 1000 acres of vineyards. One of the most celebrated Grand Cru villages of Champagne and the undisputed reign of Pinot Noir, where just 2.5 acres of vineyards can cost more than one million dollars. The Soutiran family has been here for decades, with their home and small cellar right in the middle of heaven. Their land occupies 8 acres from which they produce around 20,000 bottles per year. They are recoltant manipulant, which means using grapes that come only from their own land and preparing their own blend. An astonishing savoir-faire that derives from years and years of experience combined with a unique terroir.

Their Blanc de Noirs is made using 20% of reserve wines, showing up with a sparkling straw yellow color and a very fine and persistent perlage. The classic aromas of bread crust and chalk are very pronounced, and the notes of candied citrus fruit, white flowers and acacia honey are elegant. There is a remarkable body that is round and silky in the mouth, with balanced, rich aromas of dark berries that are typical of Pinot Noir.

Champagne Joly Champagne Cuvée Brut
The Joly Champagne house is a family property that has been passed down from generation to generation, and is the perfect example of the farming tradition in this splendid French region. In 1953 the brand was first created by Gilbert and Annette Joly and now the maison is headed by Remy and Patricia together with their sons. Here we are in the very heart of the Vallée de la Marne, where Pinot Meunier expresses all of its best qualities and characteristics, giving the resulting Champagne a pleasant structure that is balanced with intense fruity aromas.

The Cuvée Brut is without a doubt the flagship of this Maison. The yellow color has ochre hues, opening up behind a pure white foam and fine perlage. The nose is striking for the fruity aroma, where hints of yellow peach and plum prevail, both typical of the Pinot Meunier grape. Following, the aroma matures with notes of pastry bread and butter cookies. In the mouth, it does not have an overpowering personality, and the acidity and chalk are attenuated. Instead, it is well rounded, soft, harmonious and easy to approach. The sip is fresh and pleasant, and goes well with the fruitiness. The result is an extremely pleasant Champagne that is very easy to drink.

Champagne Fumey Tassin Passé Composé Brut
La Maison Fumey Tassin was founded by Marie Tassin, the great granddaughter of Marcel Tassin who was among the first wine producers in the region to become récoltant manipulant. They are located on the hills of Celles sur Ource in one of the historic areas of Champagne. Mainly Pinot Noir is cultivated, but some traditional vines such as Pinot Blanc Vrai, Arbane and Petit Meslier that are less present in other areas of the region are also cultivated.

This Champagne has a pale yellow color and dense foam, with a fine and persistent perlage. The aromas that derive from the vines, known as primary aromas, are a beautiful mix of flowers and white fruit typical of Pinot Blanc, together with the red fruit of Pinot Noir. The pleasant notes of yeast, bread crust and dry pastry derive from the contact with yeast and aging. A Champagne that is very balanced, fragrant, fresh, savory and profound with a lovely acidity and an interesting long finish.

Champagne Delavenne Grand Cru Brut Rosé
Champagne Delavenne is an amazing family-run business located in Bouzy, a delightful winegrowers village, located on the southern slopes of Reims Mountain. One of the most renowned villages for quality of the vines and soil, the reputation of the wine produced here dates back to the time of the Sun King Louis XIV. The Bouzy terroir has been classified as a Grand Cru village since 1895 and today only 17 of the 320 villages that make up the Champagne region have received this classification.

This Brut Rosé is quite simply a masterpiece. The blend of the three different wines is a wonderful work of balance where the Bouzy Rouge red wine is integrated perfectly with the other vin clairs. The result is a wine that is generous and vinous, with aromas of raspberry, strawberry, baked red apples and rose petals. Juicy, the mouth is filled with baked, spicy red fruit, a creamy persistent mousse, and an elegant mineral-laced finish. All of this is supported by a spectacular acidity. The sip is fresh, vital, and almost thirst-quenching with a savory finish.
