Description
Framed Dimensions: 11.5" W by 12.5" H
From the Artist:
Oil, acrylics, mixed media, watercolors, ink, graphite, photography ? why limit the possibilities. I am always looking ? at light and shadows, at the subtlety of colors. Often a painting arises from a combination of collected perceptions and a deep emotional response to them ? a sense of home, young summers, or imagined retreats.
The woman in the hat is from a sketchbook, which I always carry with me. I was having lunch at the Modern Museum of Art in San Francisco and she was too. So I drew her, then added paint later.
I?ve shown throughout New England and in upstate New York; and my work is in private collections throughout the country. I have been represented by the Bowersock Gallery in Provincetown, MA, and on line at artsy.com. I have studied with E.M. Saniga, Stuart Shils, Adeline Goldminc-Tronzo, and DeWitt Hardy.
