Spend a week at the Edlavitch DCJCC with this open option for a free summer Specialty Camp. One-week sessions run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m, and accomodate students in grades 1-8. Choose Travel (with daily field trips around the city), or STEM, Outdoor Adventure, Teva, or Chess.

Travel Camp
Dates: June 25 – June 29
Entering Grades: 6 – 8
Travel camp is an awesome mix of adventure, memories, and friends. Campers spend each day at a different site throughout the DC area exploring a wide variety of places and activities. Trips include amusement parks, historical sites, outdoor adventure and recreation, and much more!
Drobots Camp
Dates: Session I, July 9 – July 13. Session II, July 23 – July 27
Entering Grades: 1 – 8 “Come explore with us and get inspired by energetic instructors committed to the development and preparation of the entire camper. It’s time to take off and build STEM skills that will build the foundation for many years to come – join us! No prior experience necessary. All skill levels are welcome.”
Advanced Outdoor Adventure Camp
Dates: July 9 – July 13 Entering Grades: 6 – 8
For advanced adventurers who enjoy hiking, canoeing, and participating in an overnight camping trip! This camp will build wilderness skills, develop teamwork, leadership, and give campers and awesome perspective on nature!
Outdoor Adventure Camp Dates: July 16 – July 20 Entering Grades: 3 – 5
Outdoor Adventure Campers stretch their legs, soak up the sun, and explore the natural world during a week of adventure! Campers enjoy the many different outdoor activities the region has to offer, connecting to the outdoors while experiencing it. Activities include, hiking in national parks, low and high ropes courses, and building teamwork.
Jr. Outdoor Adventure Camp
Dates: July 23 – July 27
Entering Grades: 1 – 2
This camp a great introduction to the outdoors! Campers will spend their week enjoying outdoor activities in the DC metro area that introduce them to and help them connect with their surroundings.
Teva Camp
Dates: July 30 – August 3
Entering Grades: 3 – 5
Campers will spend a week at Rock Creek Park exploring the world outside and the role that humans play in both enjoying and protecting our natural environment. Drawing on Jewish values that compel us to take care of all living things, our environmental education specialists will provide the children with hands- on opportunities to gain wilderness skills in orienteering, hiking, shelter building, identifying plants and animals, and more!
Chess Camp
Dates: July 16 – July 20
Entering Grades: K – 6
Regardless of previous chess-playing ability, Chess Camp is fun for fans of the game! From beginners’ strategy to building mastery, this camp will provide lessons, mentoring and the full complement of EDCJCC camp activities.
