From Heather Parker and Richard Gibson in our Science Department: A reverse osmosis water filter will provide the science department with a continual supply of lab grade water for conducting chemistry experiments and providing proper care for the animals throughout the school (fish, geckos, and frogs). This filter will also save the science department money as we will no longer need to regularly purchase containers of distilled water for the above purposes, also eliminating the plastic bottles we buy it in (Zero Waste). Lastly, this 1:1 Reverse Osmosis System is one of the most eco-friendly, small-scale RO filters on the market, producing a minimal amount of waste water, also in accordance with our “going green” model at TMS.
