Item Description
A ring that's symbolic and much more. The dove used in the design of this Giving Ring by Stone Lily is meant to suggest feminine power, wisdom, grace, love and enlightenment. Stone Lily adds even more meaning by donating 100% of net profits from the sale of its Giving Ring to any one of the organizations listed among its global beneficiaries.
Stone Lily's mandate is to assist women and children around the world in improving their living situations. In this instance Stone Lily has chosen to donate twice: once to the Himalayan Childrens' Fund and also to the Shambhala Sun Foundation itself. The amount paid by the successful bidder will be split between the Fund and the Foundation.
Company owner Susan Stein Quattrociocchi emphasizes that Stone Lily is not a non-profit organization. "This is a business that is in the business of supporting others." Of that which inspired Stone Lily she say "my parents held the firm belief that you take care of people, those you know and those you don't. From the vantage point of the kitchen table they would plot solutions, with little money to spare, keeping the front door and their hearts wide open. Through technology, education and compassion, my generation's kitchen table now encompasses the globe." Stone Lily is a prime example of conscious livelihood in action.
