Item Description

The Wightman Cup was a team tennis competition for women between the United States and Great Britain.  The 1946 Team defeated Great Britain at Wimbledon with a score of 7-0.  Hazel Wightman is known as the "Queen Mother of American Tennis" for her lifelong participation in and promotion of women's tennis and because she was instrumental in organizing the Wightman Cup.  This vivid photograph is an awesome addition for any tennis memorabilia collector.
