Hyla Sloane is not a professional artist but has always loved to dabble in art, creating "Le Femme De Lune" as her entry in The Mask Project. "My late husband, Don, who was cared for by The Denver Hospice, loved the moon and always called it to everyone's attention when it was visible in the sky," said Hyla of her inspiration. She holds an undergraduate degree in speech pathology and audiology and a graduate degree in psychology and does pro-bono work. She is active in the non-profit community and serves on several boards. She served on The Denver Hospice board up until a year ago and is co-chair of the Mask Acquisition Committee. "The Denver Hospice will always hold a special place in my heart," she says.
