Item Description
Mindfulness & Unconscious Bias: Transforming Internalized Notions
A Workshop for Mindfulness Practitioners
November 13 & 14, 2010
9:00am - 4:00pm
UW-Madison’s Pyle Center
Presented by The Center for Mindfulness & Justice and The Madison Doaguan
This mindfulness workshop will explore our unconscious adaptations & habit energy in a multi-cultural world, and will include Meditation via both sitting & movement. We will use experiential exercises to explore the ways in which we are conditioned to perceive difference - and the ways in which perceptions of difference influence our attitudes, behaviors, and responses to others.
We will explore how to keep our energies flowing toward rather than against one another while living and working in challenging environments.
