Item Description

The Kirchhofers, friends of the Tyrrell family (Naomi, NPC), are graciously donating up to two weeks’ accommodation in a lovely, fully-equipped guest cottage located in the Rocky Mountains of British Columbia in western Canada.

The guest house will sleep up to a family of 6 (one queen bedroom, 2 bunks, and a queen sleeper sofa).

The cottage has kitchen, sitting and dining areas, and a full bath.  Transportation to and from the airport in either Calgary, Alberta, or Spokane, Washington, is included, as are lunches and dinners.  The stocked kitchen will provide for breakfasts and snacks.

A 7-passenger vehicle will meet you at the Spokane, WA, airport and drive you back to the property (approximately  a 5 ½ hr drive).  With the drivers, 5-6  guests could be ferried from the airport to the guest house.

A home-cooked lunch and dinner will be prepared for the guests each day.

A fully-stocked kitchen with breakfast “fixins” is available for a “DIY”  (Do It Yourself) breakfast and snacks throughout the day.

The hosts' home and the guest cottage are situated in the foothills of the Canadian Rocky Mountains.  The location is  remote (small, quaint communities are 30 minutes away by vehicle).

Lake Louise and Banff are within a 1.5 hour drive, and Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is just a half hour away.

A typical summer vacation rental in the area averages $175 – 225 per night (without meals), making this donation worth up to approximately $3,000.

The winning bidder will coordinate vacation dates with the property owner (the property is not available August 5 – 15, 2011).

Item Special Note

Donated in honor of Naomi Tyrrell (NPC).
