Item Description
A Sand County Almanac by Aldo Leopold is a notable book of discovery. In the Foreword of the book Leopold says “There are some who can live without wild things, and some who cannot. These essays are the delights and dilemmas of one who cannot.” Leopold’s professional career began in 1909 when he joined the United States Forest Service. His life ended fighting a grass fire on a neighbor’s farm, shortly after he had become an advisor on conservation to the United Nations. Donated by Pheasants Forever this book will be an asset to anyone’s library. Great as a gift or for yourself, proceeds from the winning bid will be used to support Arbor Day and conservation programs and education.
