Egg tempera on panel with gesso frame, 27" W X 55" L framed
Christopher Cart, a native Mainer, has been an artist his entire life. He lived in Guadalajara, Mexico for many years and then returned to the US to attend the University of Washington, Seattle. After 7 years in Seattle he returned to Maine for a visit and has been here ever since. He has painted major public murals, illustrated dozens of books and painted portraits of such notables as Chief Justice Daniel Wathen...both the official portrait and the one on the Harley. He currently lives with his wife in Hallowell where he paints and draws for his various gallery shows.
