About the hotel:
Donovan House provides guests with a sense of resort-like luxury in the midst of historical downtown Washington, D.C.
The hotel’s 193 rooms feature a cocoon spiral shower that blends the bedroom with the bathroom, creating a sexy, intimate space. A modern palate of clean white walls and dark woods with accents in deep reds, beiges and purples add to the room’s seductiveness. The centerpiece is a custom chocolate leather canopy bed, flanked by a round writing desk on the side and the Studio Gaia club chair at the foot of the bed. All guest rooms feature C.O. Bigelow amenities, 400-thread count SFERRA linens, iPod docking stations, and WI-FI and broadband Internet access.
At Zentan, Chef Susur Lee's praiseworthy approach to modern Asian dining remains true to his unconventional, evolving, rebellious style. The restaurant serves Asian inspired dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner including some of Lee's innovative specials featured on Bravo's Top Chef Masters. Signature dishes include the 19 ingredient Singapore Slaw and the marinated garlic chicken.
Access to the hotel’s exclusive rooftop pool and lounge, Above D.C. (ADC), is reserved for hotel guests by day, and transforms into a rooftop lounge for guests and locals by night. ADC offers guests and natives a metropolitan hideaway, boasting a full-service bar, food from ZENTAN, and a heated pool surrounded by chaise lounges and a private cabana, perfect for daily relaxation or late-night cocktails and events.
