Item Description
Boston Harbor Cruises and the USS Constitution Museum have donated a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity --a narrated trip for two to see the USS Constitution sail out into the harbor on July 4th during the bicentennial celebration of the War of 1812 that earned the ship her famous moniker.
Their informative tour will bring you up close and personal with "Old Ironsides" as she leaves her berth in the Charlestown Navy Yard for a rare trip around Boston Harbor.
The USS Constitution Museum has graciously donated a priceless momento of the day; a commemorative medallion made out of copper from the ship itself, salvaged during renovations. The medallion includes a certificate of authenticity and commemorates the USS Constitution at the bombardment of Tripoli on August 3, 1804.
After your tour, disembark at the Charlestown Navy Yard to further enjoy the Independence Day/War of 1812 festivities at the USS Constitution Museum and the Boston Historical Park.
