This Vintage Fisher Price Circus Wagon toy (circa 1962 as printed on the wagon's door, but probably produced in 1961) will come with everything shown in the photos. It would be great for a vintage toy collector, featured in a store window display, or used as a conversation piece for a home holiday display.
The figures (and wagon) are decorated with lithographed paper over wood. The figures' arms and legs are plastic.
4. Camel (see condition)
7. Horse (see condition)
9. Seal (see condition)
CONDITION: The colors are still bright on this fifty-year old toy. It is used, and has been well-loved.
The ball and barrel are missing from the set.
The wagon has some wood missing next to one wheel, which makes the pin holding the door looser than it normally would be. (See the arrow in the photo of the bottom of the wagon.)
Two of the yellow poles have some wood missing on one end. One of the poles has a long piece that has splintered off (3-1/2"). The other is just missing a little wood due to chewing by a child or pet. (See the arrows on Photo #5.)
The camel has been glued in two places. The seal is missing his tail and the horse is missing his head. (See the arrows on Photo #3.) The elephant and monkey have some black marks along the top edge of their body.
*The Circus Wagon set will be available for bidding by current MCS families and alumni at the Live Silent Auction, which will be held during the MCS 40th Anniversary Celebration on May 18th, 2012. Due to its size and delicate nature, this item CANNOT be mailed. It must be picked up at Montessori Country School in Herndon, Virginia.
