Item Description
You and a guest will be treated to a personal tour of the backstage area of NJPAC and Orchestra stage set-up by NJSO cellist Sarah Seiver. Sarah has been a member of the NJSO since 1986 and has been performing at NJPAC since it opened in 1997. See the hall from the musicians’ point of view and learn what goes into creating a performance.
The tour, to be scheduled on a mutually-agreeable date in conjunction with an NJSO performance during its 2012–13 season, includes two tickets to the concert.
Cellist SARAH SEIVER has appeared with Bono at Giants Stadium and with David Byrne at Irving Plaza, with Luciano Pavarotti at the Atlantic City Convention Center and with Ute Lemper at Town Hall. She has performed as a concerto soloist with The Philadelphia Orchestra at both the Academy of Music and The Robin Hood Dell and with the Boston Pops at Symphony Hall. Her playing can be heard on movie scores and television jingles as well as on records by artists ranging from the RZA to the New York Philharmonic. Sarah was a member of the orchestra for the Broadway productions of Sondheim on Sondheim, The Story of My Life, Cry-Baby, The Woman In White, and Titanic and the recent revivals of Bye Bye Birdie, Les Misérables, Nine, The Sound of Music and Porgy and Bess. She is a member of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra and the American Ballet Theatre Orchestra.
Sarah graduated from the Curtis Institute of Music, received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Harvard University, and a Master of Music Degree from The Juilliard School where she was a student of Leonard Rose.
