Item Description
A once-in-a-lifetime chance to tour the home and studio of one of Greater Cincinnati's most famous art families: the Harpers. The winning bidder will tour the Finneytown home/studio of the late Charley and Edie Harper with estate curator Chip Doyle. Charley was renowned for his crisp, playful, and minimal-yet-bold take on the natural world - and his work can be seen on everything from prints and posters to stationery and games. Edie was a versatile artist jumping from painting and printing to jewelry making and photography to enameling and weaving.
But that's just Part 1. After touring the house, you'll head to the Harper archives near downtown Cincinnati. Once there, you will get a peek at the extensive collection of original artwork by Charley and Edie, and their son Brett, an artist in his own right who is determined to preserve his parents' legacy.
The tour will take close to 3 hours and can accommodate up to 4 people. Date and time to be arranged by the winner and Mr. Doyle.
