Item Description
This shark makes "JAWS" look like a minnow. The Carcharocles Megalodon was the largest shark to ever swim the ocean and was 3 times the size of modern great white sharks.
This actual Megalodon Shark Tooth from Steve's Fossil Shark Teeth is shown to scale in the picture. It is over 4 inches long. The tooth is approximately 5-7 million years old. A fossil this rare is certainly a collectors item for anyone interested in fishing or fossils!
This tooth is from the largest fish to ever swim, a Carcharocles Megalodon, and was found while scuba diving in Beaufort, SC. It is from the geological Hawthorne Formation and is from the Late Miocene epoch.
