A native Houstonian and Rice University Alumni, Mayor Annise Parker became the second female Mayor of Houston on January, 2nd 2010. She served as the 14th City Controller under Mayor Bill White and was a Member of the Houston City Council At-Large Position 1 from 1998 until 2004.
