Item Description

Lots of people get to see Broadway's WICKED from the audience, but this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity takes you on an in-depth tour backstage.  Join management, crew, actors and orchestra members working to bring Broadway's biggest blockbuster to life. 

 

This experience will be created specifically for you and is an opportunity that few have ever had.  Your special tour will begin 90 minutes before the Broadway curtain goes up and, based on your interests, could include the following opportunities:

 

  • Meet Alyce Gilbert, a recipient of the 2007 Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre and WICKED's wardrobe supervisor, as she shows you Susan Hilferty's Tony Award-winning costumes
  • Shadow WICKED's production carpenter through presets as you check Eugene Lee's Tony Award-winning set.
  • Watch Elphaba turn green as WICKED's make-up supervisor shows you how he helps turn the Green Girl into her lovely emerald hue each night
  • Watch a stage manager execute cues and “call” the show
  • Sit in the orchestra pit and hear WICKED from the musician's perspective
  • Join WICKED's sound engineer from the sound console as he mixes the show
  • Watch the hair department at work on the 100+ wigs in the show 

 

This package includes 2 tickets for your friends to see the show while you are backstage, a gift certificate for a celebratory dinner at a neighborhood restaurant, a poster signed by the company and a photo with the WICKED cast.

Winning bidder must be at least 16 years of age.  Because many performances of WICKED are sold out, the winner must have flexibility in determining the date of the experience.
