Item Description
Two bottles of 2006 Bartalotti Reserve Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon
Napa Valley greeted the beginning of the New Year with isolated flooding. Damage was kept to a minimum as the vines were dormant. A delayed bud break and fruit set followed in June. Ten days of extremely hot weather followed in mid-June. Temperatures moderated considerably for the balance of July, August and September. This led to very evenly ripened fruit with a beautiful concentration of flavors.
The 2006 Reserve Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon is a sumptuous burgundy red in color. The nose is rich with black currant, cherry and cassis. The wine displays flavors of dark cherri es, plum and dark chocolate with a hint of vanilla. Luxurious tannins bring structure to an opulent finish.
Donated by Bartalotti Vineyards.
