Item Description
Heritage and enterprise are hallmarks of Santa Rita, one of Chile’s premier wine estates. Founded in 1880 by Domingo Fernandez in Chile’s Maipo Valley, this historic property was among the first to pioneer plantings of European grape varieties in Chile. In 1980, it was acquired by its present owner, Gruppo Claro, under whom Santa Rita has reaped the rewards of continuous investment, resulting in a period of impressive growth, during which the winery has consolidated its position in the vanguard of Chile’s most successful and innovative estates.
This super-premium wine is the outcome of a careful selection of grapes from Santa Rita’s finest and most historic vineyard at the winery’s famed Alto Jahuel Estate in Chile’s Maipo Valley. Low yields from mature 40-year-old vines favor a rich, supple, full-bodied red, endowed with smooth, enduring tannins and fruit. This is a wine that will continue to evolve and develop in complexity over a period of many years.
Casa Real Cabernet Sauvignon is made only in the finest vintages and is the culmination of more than a century of winemaking tradition and expertise, combined with contemporary, state-of-the-art technology. It is designed to serve as a lasting reminder of Santa Rita’s commitment to produce the finest wine our terroir has to offer.
DESCRIPTION
Color: Ruby red with good intensity
Aroma: A commanding bouquet of ripe fruit, black currant and blueberries, lend freshness and elegance exquisitely mingled with delicate notes of oak, tobacco and vanilla lend sweetness and persistence.
Taste: Highly concentrated, intensely flavored and rich in tannins, with a full, magnificent body and a remarkable, sleek finish.
