Item Description
Wellspring Inn and Spa is one of the most enchanting places my husband and I have ever visited! It is a 2 hour drive from Seattle, in Ashford, WA at the edge of Mount Rainier National Park, just a few miles from the Visitor Center at Paradise.
Nestled within a deep, mossy woods are a small lodge, a collection of tiny log cabins and other buildings with names like "The Three Bears Cottage", "The Nest", and "The Treehouse".
Northwest Rustic with a luxurious twist, the classic cabins feature queen feather beds, woodstoves, and private baths.
We haven't yet had a chance to try out the Woodland Spa, which offers deep, restorative Swedish massage and woodfired cedar saunas, but I can't imagine a better place for reaping the full benefits of spa therapy, and we'll be sure to do that next time.
After a long day of snowshoeing in the National Park, we did, however, reserve one of the 2 private outdoor cedar hot tubs nestled into the lush forest hollow. Ahhhhh....... Wellspring!
On Sunday morning before returning to Seattle, we explored a bit more and found The Meditation Trail, a one-mile trail that loops through the old growth forest surrounding Wellspring, following a beautiful creek with cascading waterfalls. And last but not least, much to our astonishment and delight, we discovered a beautiful woodland Labyrinth made from a mosaic of mossy stones.
Wellspring is simply enchanting!
