Item Description
Create a t-shirt quilt with teacher Wendy Brown, parent of a Bay alum, while enjoying the sumptuous hospitality of Fay Coad, a current parent at Bay. This two-part class will be held in San Francisco on two Saturdays in October - the 12th and 26th at 10:00am. Not an expert at sewing? Not a problem! If you can sew a straight seam, you can sew a t-shirt quilt. Each participant brings t-shirts and fabric for borders - a sewing machine will be provided! At the end of your classes, you'll walk away with a quilt full of memories. Come learn a new skill, meet new friends, and have fun! And, never fear - if you want company and/or advice, an optional trip to the fabric store is included with your classes.
Additional spots will move to the live event on April 6.
Item Special Note
Each t-shirt is equivalent to about 15 square inches of quilt, so 9 shirts will make a quilt about 45 square inches. The more t-shirts you bring, the bigger the quilt! Don't have enough? We'll add borders to make the quilt bigger. Fabric store trip to be scheduled on a mutually agreed upon date.
