Artist's Biography:
Linda Friedlander has lived in New Orleans since 1985. After working in the real estate field for 15 years she decided to move on, changing to a career that would reflect her love of art. Opening a shop on Magazine Street in 2000, she brought her love and philosophy of artful living to fruition. Her shop, Objets Trouves, meaning found objects, reflects her ability to see art in all things.
Photography was always a love of hers, but considered a hobby. Recently with a renewed sense of love for New Orleans she decided to bring her passion for the unique imagery of the city to the forefront.
Her current series of photographs titled "Among Us: Art, Architecture, and Angels in New Orleans" reminds us of the beauty that surrounds us yet is so often overlooked, as we rebuild. Linda hopes these pictures of New Orleans' art, beauty, and soul will touch you as much as they have her.
