About the Artist:

Jim Scheurich is a lifelong resident of New Orleans. Devoting his life to the arts, he has pursued careers as a musician and photographer, as well as an art director and publisher. His photographic images of New Orleans culture have been used as inspiration for numerous posters such as the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, the Rex Carnival Organization, and Tipitina’s. His photographs have been exhibited at the Contemporary Arts Center and the Academy of Fine Arts in New Orleans. His work is also part of the permanent collection of the Hogan Jazz Archives at Tulane University, New Orleans. Scheurich’s photographs have been featured in numerous publications such as Living Blues Magazine, The San Francisco Chronicle, International Musician Magazine, Offbeat, Wavelength, Beat Street, Figaro and Gambit.
