Item Description

Enjoy a two night stay in the heart of New Orleans' Garden District at the Sully Mansion Bed & Breakfast.  Take a short walk to enjoy fine dining at Commander's Palace.  Jump on the streetcar and hop out in the Carrollton neighborhood to enjoy fine yet casual fare at Chef Nate Zimet's Boucherie.

  • Sully Mansion: Surrounded by magnolias and live oaks, the neighborhood is filled with Greek revival mansions and nineteenth century villas. Guests are just steps away by streetcar from the French Quarter, Central Business District, Loyola and Tulane Universities, Audubon Park, the shops and boutiques of Magazine Street, world-famous restaurants and music clubs. The historic mansion, designed by Thomas Sully in 1890 has eight rooms, ranging from an intimate bedroom to large suites all with private baths. The inn has fourteen foot ceilings with original plaster medallions, wide pine plank flooring, a large wraparound porch, antiques and many other special touches which embody the grace and charm of a bygone era.
  • Commander's Palace: $100 dining certificate.  Since 1880, Commander's Palace has been a New Orleans landmark known for the award-winning quality of its food and many commodious dining rooms. The history of this famous restaurant offers a glimpse into New Orleans' antebellum past.  When Ella, Dottie, Dick and John Brennan took over personal supervision of the restaurant in 1974, they began to give the splendid old landmark a new look. It was decided to design rooms and settings indoors which complemented and enhanced the lovely outdoor setting, so the decor was planned for a bright, casual airiness. Particular attention was paid to the heart and soul of the restaurant kitchen and the dishes created there. Commander's cuisine reflects the best of the city, both Creole and American heritages as well as dishes of Commander's own creating. Seafood, meats, fruits and vegetables; everything is as fresh as it possibly can be.
  • Boucherie: $50 dining certificate.  Our cuisine reflects our passions and our purpose – which is fine dining for the people. We smoke, cure, age and prepare all our meats in house – and as do most fine establishments of this city – we purchase from local agriculture and seafood purveyors when available.  Through these small understandings Boucherie embraces the traditions of its namesake, as well as the food that inspired it.
