Item Description
In studying the French aristocracy, an 8th grade student at the Waldorf School of the Peninsula produced this fanciful mixed media portrait of Marie Antoinette, who became the Queen of France when she
married Louis XVI in 1774.
With both exquisite detail and dreamlike touches, the piece captures the Queen’s frank, yet frivolous, personality. It was created using chalk pastel, oil pastel, and pen on watercolor paper.
