Item Description
The NGF is planning its 2014 International Gaucher Conference for families and individuals affected by Gaucher disease so that they can make informed decisions concerning treatment and disease management. The conference will include presentations from the most renowned Gaucher specialists in the world and presentations from pharmaceutical companies who have current treatments and are researching future Gaucher treatments. Presentations will include panel discussions and information on drug therapies, research and clinical trials, bone involvement and bone repair, unique issues in treating type 1 children and treating the neuronopathic aspects of types 2 and 3, the Gaucher registry, health reform and insurance, and many more topics.
This conference will be patient-centered and we feel it is important for everyone who is affected by Gaucher to have the opportunity to attend this conference, and we will be offering grants to patients to help them attend. We are currently looking for funding to help us award these grants.
