Item Description

Spend seven days at a beautiful beach house on Orr's Island in Harpswell, Maine.

The house has two double bedrooms and one bedroom with bunk beds. There is also a full-sized futon in the living room. Dogs are welcome and there is an outdoor enclosure for them. Full bathroom with washer. Don't miss the breathtaking sunsets from the comfort of the house or the outside decks!

The house has beach access and is at a prime location for swimming (if you don't mind the cold Maine water!) sea kayaking, and sailing. Bring your own kayaks or rent just around the corner from the house.

Orr's Island, Maine, is a peninsula connected by bridges to Harpswell and Brunswick - just 15 minutes from Brunswick (home of Bowdoin College). Local attractions include:

  • Giant Stairs Trail is about 1/3 of a mile long and leads to a unique rock formation. It provides spectacular views of the ocean along the eastern edge of Bailey Island.
  • The Salt Cod Cafe, a five-minute walk from the house, has some of the BEST seafood chowdah on the island!
  • The Cribstone Bridge, made of granite slabs that allow the tide to ebb and flow, is just a short beach walk away and the only one of its kind in the world!
  • Orr's Island is connected to Bailey's Island, a popular vacation area, where you can find sandy beaches and beautiful hiking trails along the water.
  • Brunswick, Maine, a 12-minute drive, has lots of great restaurants and shops.
  • Freeport, a popular shopping destination, is a 20-minute drive away.
