Item Description
2 Quarts of Pure Connecticut Maple Syrup from Moodys Maple Sugar Farm in East Hampton, Connecticut. 1 quart in US Grade A Dark Amber and 1 quart in US Grade A Medium Amber.
Pure maple syrup is derived by simply boiling the excess water out of maple sap. The result is 100% pure maple syrup containing only the flavor, sweetness and nutrients that nature has provided. Pure maple syrup is delicious on ice cream, in cereals, yogurt, coffee and tea, over pancakes, waffles, French toasts and freshly cut fruits. It's great for glazing hams, yams and carrots. Use it in homemade baked beans and boiled apples, and as a sugar substitute in baked goods.
Maple sap is harvested in late winter, often while the ground is still covered by snow. The sap is boiled down to varying grades of syrup thickness. These grade of maple syrup is thicker than syrup that is found in supermarkets.
