Item Description
This one-of-a-kind monoprint by Ferndale, California artist Robert Hattan captures the dream-like quality of baseball, a wonderful gift for any art lover and fan of the game.
Artist Statement: "The subject of baseball in my art is, I suppose, an extension of my childhood dream of being a Major League player one day. I like the graphic quality of the monoprint technique and find it well suited to baseball drama. The three-color process is carefully designed and yet yields surprising, sometimes unexpected results--much like the game. I did have a partial fulfillment of that early dream when I signed a professional contract with the Philadelphia Phillies organization. I played in the minor leagues for two years."
This piece is framed under glass and measures 26" x 30".
