Item Description
For this delicious bottle of D.V Catena Malbec 2010 wine, the grapes are sourced from high altitude, mountain vineyards planted at elevations between 3297’ and 3957’ above sea level. Years of research, lead to the identification of the ideal “terroir” that could offer the highest concentration of aromas and flavors. Bodega Catena Zapata pioneered the discovery of the ideal high altitude microclimate for each particular varietal. Domingo Vicente Catena Malbec 2010 is a blend of Malbec grapes sourced from two different vineyards. The "Angélica" Vineyard confers ripe plum flavors, silkiness and good volume on the palate. "La Pirámide" Vineyard adds black berry fruit and spicy notes of black pepper and clove. 18 months in French oak. The result is a complex wine of intense flavors that linger on a long, velvety finish. Unavailable in the US market.
