Item Description
“Bubble de Boo” Fish Sculpture
by Rodney Mccoubrey & Mrs. Alexander’s 3rd grade class!!!
Medium: Plywood, acrylic paint, puffpaint and recycled found objects/trash!
Info: Rodney Mccoubrey's fish live as beautifully indoors as they do out and can be seen adorning the patio walls of many San Diego beach homes. His work is fun, bright and complimentary to the joys of childhood. He teaches art classes throughout North County San Diego and his work is featured in the children’s section & the outdoor garden of the Encinitas Library. The kid’s from Sra. Alexander’s class loved having Rodney visit the classroom & enjoyed working together to build this big, bright, recycled friend from the sea.
Rodney Mccoubrey art: The nature of my work is "FUN". The materials I incorporate in my pieces are primarily recycled and found objects. My resources remain readily available, from dumpster's to roadsides, empty lots to my most favorite of all, Baja California dumpsites (every town has at least one!). The direction of my work depends upon life's inspirations and those emotions that dwell within me, ever changing and constantly evolving!
