Item Description

The winner of this lot receives a jersey and commemorative photograph signed by Tyson Chandler!

Veteran NBA center and champion Tyson Chandler, currently of the New York Knicks, first picked up a basketball when he was 14 years old. Six years later, Tyson became the starting center for the Chicago Bulls, after bypassing college and being chosen with the 2nd overall pick in the 2001 NBA Draft. After four seasons with the Bulls, Tyson was traded to the New Orleans Hornets in 2006, where in his first season he was second in the NBA in rebounding and quickly became one of the elite centers in the Western Conference. After a stop in Charlotte, Tyson joined the Dallas Mavericks, and in 2011, his defensive skill and intensity powered the franchise to its first-ever NBA championship.

Blessed with great stamina and quickness, Tyson is an exceptionally rare NBA athlete – a 7-footer who has both an inside and outside game, a hybrid player who can run the floor, dominate the paint and knock down jumpers.

Off the court, Tyson’s greatest pleasure is spending time with his wife, Kimberly, and their children, baby daughter, Sacha-Marie, and son Tyson Jr. A member of the NBA’s All-Star Reading Team, Tyson is also actively involved in children’s reading and literacy programs, as well as a number of other community service efforts.
