Item Description
The Joseph Conrad was launched in 1882 as the Georg Stage, a training ship for Danish sailors. Author Alan Villiers renamed her Joseph Conrad and sailed her around the world from 1934 -1936. She was subsequently used as a U. S. maritime training ship and is now berthed at Mystic Seaport in Mystic, CT. This model was built by BlueJacket Shipcrafters and is housed in a case measuring 36" long x 13" wide x 24" high.
