Wim Wenders (TCFF ’12) is an Oscar-nominated filmmaker whose films “Paris, Texas” (1984) and “Wings of Desire” (1987) received critical acclaim, garnering nominations from the BAFTA Awards, the Cannes Film Festival, the European Film Awards, the German Film Awards, the Bavarian Film Awards, the Independent Spirit Awards, and the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards. He has also directed many music videos for groups such as U2 and Talking Heads, including “Stay (Faraway, So Close!)” and “Sax and Violins.”
In addition to being a renowned director, Wenders has also produced exquisite photo books and offers TCFF attendees a chance to own a limited-edition copy complete with his personal signature. Most of Wim Wenders’ photographs are created during his personal travels and while location scouting for his films.
