Item Description

A small Ganado weaving, 24" x 17", showing vertically joined serrated elements over an ox-blood red field, and bordered on top and below with "salt and pepper" contrasting black and gray wool.  This piece is woven entirely with plied yarn, similar to the Germantown weavings woven by the Navajo over 100 years ago.  This item's appraisal of value was provided by Terry DeWald, a member of the Antique Tribal Art Dealers Association.
