Come to Snipes Farm for a beekeeping class with Paul Scutt.
Purchase a spot at this event for $50. Limited to 20 participants.
Paul brings over 20 years of experience to this introductory course for anyone considering keeping their own bees. This session will cover the principles of bees: their physiology, the sociology of a hive, hive construction and inspection, and harvesting honey. Weather permitting there will be a visit to the hives on the farm. After the lecture enjoy lunch with your new bee friends supplied by Susan Vigilante and her friends.
WHEN: Saturday, May 9, 2015, 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM. Rain date May 16.
WHERE: Snipes Farm & Education Center, 890 West Bridge Street, Morrisville, PA 19067. Dress in light colored clothing with long sleeves to reassure the bees. Also bring a hat and comfortable shoes to walk in the fields.
