Item Description
Yes, that’s right. There is a Nevada Brothel Owner’s Association. And yes, there is a George and yes you can take a tour of a brothel.
Brothels are legal businesses in the rural counties of Nevada. In 2001, when the Nevada Northern Railway was invited to participate in the 2002 Winter Olympics hauling passengers, we needed to raise $100,000 to take Steam Locomotive 93 along with coaches 07 and 08 to Utah.
To raise the $100,000 needed to transport everything, we sold advertising signs in the passenger cars. The Nevada Brothel Owners Association purchased two signs. This is one of the signs that was displayed in one of our coaches.
So if you’re looking for, a one-of-kind gift, for a man cave or for the person who has everything, here it is! The dark spot on the lower right hand side is a shadow. The edges are slightly tattered and the sign is slightly faded. (People have tried to liberate this sign countless times.)
The sign measures 31” by 25”. It is large, the sign is no shrinking violet.
And the sign was truthful too. The ladies did support the Olympics in the “Spirit of the Old West.”
Item Special Note
The sign does come with a Certificate of Authenticity explaining how it helped take a steam locomotive and two passenger cars to the Winter Olympics in 2002. Shipping is $7.00 and will be added to the winning bid.
