Item Special Note
Artist Statement: Glass is a magical material to me, I began doing furnace work, learned fusing to do soft glass roll ups for my glass maestro, & hit the trinity of glass art by learning the ancient art of lampworking on a torch. I now enjoy mixing my knowledge & mediums. It's breathtaking to be playing with alchemy, with physics & my own limits forever learning by growing the skills of my craft & being able to share my inner love for the universe & earth through my work. I began my glassblowing adventure quite by accident, or should I say the glass found me. I was just a girl out exploring the world when I was introduced to it. I began traveling to learn about different forms of glass & visiting different studios around the world right at the beginning of the new millenium, taking in the majesty of the forms that are possible & apprenticing in the hot shop. My education has been gathered from many places, My lampwork has been mainly the pacific northwest where I've trained from masters in Washington, Northern California & Oregon, & my soft glass furnace education has been from Glasshaus in Germany & the Czech Republic where I've studied & gained much inspiration. I now create in my own studios which I have built from the ground up with my own two hands in northern California. I dream in glass & every second I can't work, I'm daydreaming & having visions of what I need to make next.
