Artist Statement: Vanishing Traditions Ecosystems in Flux We are dependent of our surrounding. Changes are inevitable. But slow changes are deadly. We forget. Our traditions disappear, our & future generations dreams shatter. Vanishing Traditions - Ecosystems in flux is about our environment at large. It involves culture, craft, people, nature, wildlife, which all cohabit with each other. Altering one piece of the puzzle weakens the whole. The images take you to places where stories are told from generations to generations, with words, actions, feelings, & unspoken languages. Herding Instinct was photographed in Bhutan. The image depicts a wonderful example of what villages are like prior to the onset of modernization. Changes are imminent but the locals are trying to hold on to their traditions. Lets keep the dream alive. Oliver Klink is a professional photographer, based in Los Gatos, CA. His images can be found at oliverklinkPhotography.com. He also leads workshops around the world for photographers who want to build technical confidence & find a personal voice with their Photography.
