Twin Palms Writer’s Cottage is a quiet place where you can retreat to write or just plain retreat by yourself, with a friend or spouse. It is the private home of Kathleen Flinn, author of the New York Times bestseller The Sharper Your Knife, the Less You Cry (Viking/Penguin). The house is located on beautiful Anna Maria Island, less than a 5-minute walk to the area’s famed white sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico.
The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen plus a separate “cabinita” with a master bedroom with ensuite bathroom that overlooks a lush tropical backyard studded with palms and highlighted with tropical flowers. Although it’s a small beach home, it has all the necessary modern comforts, including high-speed internet, full cable and front-loading washer/dryer. You’ll be able to use the All Clad pans and help yourself to any of the spices, oils or other goods in the cupboards, and dip into a slice of Kathleen's personal library of cookbooks. The house is one bedroom, but there is a sleeper sofa to accommodate up to four guests.
The package includes one week at the cottage (subject to availability), plus a welcome package of wine, cheese and other gifts. The closest airports are Sarasota-Bradenton and Tampa International. This offer is valid through December 15th, 2016.
