Item Description

One of the most famous of all living artist's, Peter Max is also a pop culture icon. His bold colors, uplifting images and an uncommon artistic diversity have touched almost every phase of American culture and has inspired many generations. Peter Max has painted for six U.S. Presidents and his art is on display in Presidential Libraries and in U.S. Embassies. Max has painted our Lady Liberty annually since America's Bicentennial and in 2000 a collage of his Liberties adorned over 145 million Verizon phone books. Max has been named an official artist of the 2006 U.S. Olympic Team at the Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy. He has also been Official Artist of 5 Super Bowls, World Cup USA, The World Series, The U.S. Open, The Indy 500, The NYC Marathon and The Kentucky Derby.

This stunning original artwork by Peter Max titled ''Mona Lisa'' is an acrylic on canvas and measures 48'' x 36'' with the frame. This artwork has been professionally appraised and includes a copy of the Certificate of Authenticity.

SHIPPING IS NOT INCLUDED on any items in the WXXI Auction. Certificates will be mailed directly to winning bidders at no additional cost. Bidders who have won Merchandise items (items with an M in front of the item number) will be contacted at the conclusion of the Auction to arrange shipping for an additional fee. The WXXI Auction will ship via FedEx Express, if the bidder prefers a different shipping method they must arrange shipping and contact the Auction with the appropriate details. Merchandise items can also be picked-up at WXXI on the publicized open pick-up dates or by appointment. All Merchandise must be picked up by July 31, 2015.
