A very nice original watercolor painting titled 'The Place' by well-know artist Jerry Stangl. The piece is very nicely framed and matted. It is also signed and dated 1974 making this one of Stangl's earlier works. Stangl is known for his abstract interpretation of a city skyline which is eloquently demonstrated in this beautiful piece. A true work of art, this watercolor is a great addition to your collection or decor! This framed piece measures 31" wide x 21" tall.
Stangl was the recipient of ''The William Church Osborne Memorial Award'' in the 106th Annual Exhibition of the American Watercolor Society in New York City. Stangl has also been awarded the ''Best of Mixed Media'' in the 2009 Art in the Barn Exhibition in Barrington, Illinois.
I was also a finalist winner in the Artist Magazines 2000 Art Competition and have been the recipient of numerous other awards.
