Item Description
Oh la la, is all you can say when you see this masterpiece of Italian design and function. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to own a 1957 Restored Vespa Scooter. Imagine yourself as Audrey Hepburn or Gregory Peck in Roman Holiday, scooting down the street the wind in your hair, perched atop this attractive and unique ride.
This 150 CC scooter has been reviewed by the service department at Country Road Motor Werks and is in running condition. It is in overall good restored condition. The scooter includes a spare tire and plastic cover as well as a detachable front luggage rack.
Condition Issues to Note:
The Vespa is in need of a replacement Brake Light Switch 12 V-(the appropriate part can be purchased online on sites like Ebay for less than $10 not including shipping).
There is a very minimal crackle on the paint on the engine cover from a small dent that was popped-out (close-up photos of the paint provided upon request).
There is light rust on some of the chrome accents due to the age of the piece (additional photos provided upon request).
This scooter is an estate piece and was restored and imported from Vietnam in 2013. The winning bidder of this scooter will receive paper work that includes information regarding the scooter's engine number and frame number, as well as a bill of sale.
**Please note there is no current title. WXXI will work with the winning bidder in a timely manner to ensure proper documentation is transferred in order to legally register the scooter in New York State. The winning bidder should be prepared to work with WXXI on this matter at the conclusion of the Auction which may prevent immediate possession of the scooter. Please also note, a motorcycle license is required to legally drive this scooter in NYS. This Scooter is being sold as is. Shipping/transport of this Scooter is not included and must be arranged by the winning bidder if desired.
