Hyde Park is located in northwest Duchess County, just north of Poughkeepsie along the Hudson River.  The town is famous for being the home of the 32nd United States President, Franklin Roosevelt, his wife Eleanor Roosevelt and F. W. Vanderbilt. 

THE ROOSEVELT INN is a family-owned quant motel-type lodging that has welcomed guests with an air of old-world hospitality for over 40 years. The charming deluxe rooms are spacious and located in a two-story structure with exterior walkways and doors. A continental breakfast is served each morning.

LOCUST GROVE ESTATE, located in Poughkeepsie, NY, was the home of Samuel F. B. Morse, the inventor of the telegraph. He purchased the property three years after his first successful telegraphic transmission and had the existing house renovated into a lovely 25-room Italianate villa, in 1851. Today the estate is a museum and nature preserve with miles of serene trails and landscapes.
