Item Description

Francine Chough, who is an Instructor and Staff Specialist at the Alliance, is a native of Autun, near the Burgundy region. After teaching at the Lycée Bonaparte in Autun, and in the hotel business in Paris at the Paris Sheraton Hotel, she received a Bachelor degree in English and French from Lewis and Clark College. She taught French in a Montessori school in Vancouver, WA, then got a Master's degree in Education from Loyola College of Maryland with an emphasis on Montessori Education. She taught 3 years as a Montessori Elementary teacher, and taught 1st through 5th grade at the Catlin Gabel School in the Lower School where she developed the French curriculum. She has taught all levels of students from preschool to adults.

This past fall, Francine earned accreditation as an Examiner/Correcter for the DELF and DALF exams, France's most respected and well-known test system for determining and documenting French proficiency in non-native speakers.

For this fundraiser, Francine offers a package of five 30-minute conversation sessions hours at the Alliance's Kamm House. Suitable for levels A2 and above; all ages. To be mutually arranged through the Alliance office at 503.223.8388, prior to December 31, 2015.
