Item Description
A watercolor painting by Gerard Wagner, a very important artist and teacher. Through efforts to grasp the secrets of Rudolf Steiner's training sketches for painters, Gerard Wagner succeeded in disclosing their metamorphic character and, out of this, was able to develop a systematic approach to painting. The fruits of this research are his unique method of teaching and his archive of paintings both of which continue to be a source of inspiration for the Painting School at the Goetheanum.
Painting size is 27 3/4" x 20 1/4".
Item Special Note
In about 1970 he changed his choice of medium from conventional water colour to plant pigments which introduced softer forms and looser colouring. Note: Shipping costs are paid by the winning bidder. Artwork may require special packaging & shipping costs. Items may also be picked up at Summerfield at no cost.
