The Master Gardeners of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Monroe County are sponsoring a fall symposium titled - Gardens for All Spaces. The event will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015, in the Eisenhart Auditorium, Rochester Museum & Science Center, 657 East Avenue, Rochester, NY. The symposium will feature speakers Jessica Walliser, Horticulturist & Bug Lover and Naomi Brooks, Landscape Designer. Jessica is the co-host of KDKA Radio's ''The Organic Gardeners'', and author of books ''Grow Organic'', ''Good Bug Bad Bug'' and ''Attracting Beneficial Bugs to Your Garden''. She is a garden columnist for the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review and is a regular contributor to Organic Gardening. Naomi leads Verdant Landscapes in the Hudson Valley, whose mission is ''Helping dream, design, and deliver uncommon outdoor spaces''. She holds certificates in Gardening & Landscape Design from the NY Botanic Garden. First founded in 2000 as a wholesale nursery, Verdant Landscapes has progressed to create designs in the style of the New American Garden, as well as managing landscape construction projects & maintenance through skilled subcontractors.
